Drawn to Life is a short film that documents an artist’s journey to self-appreciation
of their creativity. As an artist, it’s easy to overthink the art you create, and by doing so the
overall quality of work goes down. By taking a “trip” through your work, and in some ways,
your own mind, you can break from the artist’s block that affects you. The story in my film
shows an unnamed artist being magically transported to the world of the art they create
after being frustrated by the work they are working on. By experiencing their art first hand
in this magic dream-state world, they attain a new appreciation of their creations. This
inspires them to create more work that reflects this world, and they end up satisfied with
the results.
